In SR (the blue book) The maximum number of rounds you could
fire in a round was seven. In the Second edition (The black
book) the number of shots that can be fired from a given weapon
is limited only by the number of actions of the firer and the
modes available on the gun. Therefore a Street Sam with a
smartgun link and an initative of 30, could choose to fire his
Model 100 on single shot, Burst fire or autofire.

Autofire is only governed by your ability to absorbe recoil, so
if you can handle 20 points of recoil you can fire a 21 round
burst, and fire 3 in a turn. If on the other hand you are only
useing BF you can fire 2 bursts an action (1 shot=1 simple
action)which is 18 rounds a turn.

I know this may sound confusing but try it. If I have anything
wrong, and I probably have as this is from memory. I'm sure
someone will correct me.

Humble apology for relying on memory deleated.

With full autofire I believe that the limit is not imposed by the recoil you
can take, but the recoil you are willing to take. Ie with your 21 recoil comp,
you could fire 30 rounds, with a +9 TN of course but whos worried about
that, you're doing about 37/D(+8).

The problem come with determining a maximum firerate for each weapon,
ie how many rounds can a Uzi III put out in a action. This is up to each
GM to decide, they could use existing weapons as guidelines, or just invent
numbers off the top of their heads.

A'Deus.
