He probably faked his death to flush out his enemies.

If he is dead, that's going to piss off my character with him as a contact.
At least he still has Verjigorm as a buddy! *grin*

The same way I got the Cabal as a gang.

(No, I'm pulling your leg!)

It's not difficult, one of my players had him as a contact. Several
things explain this.
1) Dunklezahn has a long fascination and interest with (meta)humans.
For some reason known only to him, he loves us you know.
2) He's not a "Oh, I'll just phone Dunk for a favour" type of contact,
he occassionally provides employment for them.
3) This was achieved when the team protected, and saved a Dragon's
nest.
4) Why not, as long as nobody abuses the position. And seing as
Dragons are such feared creatures, because of their strength and power,
it's not such a bad thing. In fact, the team were extremely proud of
their "friend".

Unfortunately Dunklezahn is dead, it is a great and tragic loss, but he
will strike back at his killers, from the grave, through means that none
expect. Don't forget, the Big D was one of the most powerful dragons
that lived in SR, and he has a long and mysterious past. His namesake,
Dark Tooth from Earth Dawn, still lives. Hmmm..... maybe a bit of
interplanar/time travel is required here......... Nah, that's just being
silly.

Try some of the tunnels under Parlainth... Although getting a dragon in
there may be a bit tricky :)

Hey, don't laugh, I have used time travel in SR.
Originally, I planned to use the theme as just a silly one off adventure,
but my players really bought into the idea.
I basically explained it as a ritual that connected the players minds to
past lives. They "time-walked" back to the assassination of UCAS president
Garrety, and bumped him off.
Personally I never liked the idea of time travel in SR, but it worked, the
players liked it, so it has become official for our chronology.
It has never happened again, but it has been brought up several times. I did
think ahead and only allow the ritual to an NPC mage.
