I don't recall when they weren't weird. *grin*
Was this before they introduced the gay sailor who talked like Long John
Silver and had a parrot on his shoulder?

Well, it wasn't long after, actually. By wierd, I was referring to when
they starting having mutant monsters and toxoc fighters and such nonsense.
I would probablyu have to use the origanal batch of figures from the 3"
line... Duke, Flash, Clutch, Scarrlett, Snake Eyes...:) Those ones...:)
And of coourse, the original GI Joe...:)

Ah well, just some inane thoughts...

Boy, it'sw been 12-14 years since I had those as a kid.... Geez, I feel
old...;-)

Actually, if you read any of the first 40 or so issues of the Marvel G.I.
Joe comic - they were fairly "normal".

Some of the characters would make decent shadowrunners.
Snake Eyes would be a great physad/martial artist, and Clutch could be a techie.

When you get right down to it, the GI Joe team really was nothing but a
large SR team anyway I suppose.

Makes you feel old? Heck the GI-joes that I played with as a kid where 8"
tall and were the "male" equivilent <sp> to Barbie... That must have been
20 or 22 years ago... Damn with what they are worth now I really wish I
hadn't gotten rid of all of them...

Yeah <sigh>, I all but destroyed mine when he got in a
fight with the six-million dollar man who tore his head off
and burned a hole in his chest with his eye laser... (that
was probably far more information than you wanted to know

Sorry, not familiar with the characters, etc., but it all seemed weird to me.

Speaking of old, I recall people in my dorm watching that and a the dolls
being about a foot tall and came with all sorts of sets of gear when I was
little.
