So is it kosher, do you think, to drop a Force 10 Hellblast out of
astral space, grounding it through a quickened spell of some sort to
roast everyone in the general vicinity of the guy with the quickened
spell?

So how many of the taboos do you want to break before the enforcements
are erected?

Sounds good to me... :)

(My personal view on quickenings was always that if the spell quickened has
a physical component, then it provides an Astral/Physical gateway you could
ground across, the same way you can fry people through spell locks)

I know, I wished I thought of it first.

if my idea on this seems overwhelmingly "duh", I aplogize in advance, as I'm
very new to this list, and I wouldn't know what's been decided upon.

I'd house-rule that rather than the lock/quickened spell let an
astrally-cast spell jump unfettered into the physical world...I'd say it
allows an astral spell to ground into the person bonded and using the spell
lock, and that person only.

hmm...::hesitates::...on the old list, I was suggested to ask about "magical
bedsheets"? am I going to regret asking?

It was a very weird day, MC. I thought I'd shoot for 100%, though I
know I couldn't pull that off. I can try, though....

Quickened spells don't have a physical presence like a spell lock does,
so I'd say no.

It IS kosher to fall over dead from drain from a force 10 hellblast,
unless you have a REAL high magic rating...that's 9D drain...

Well, then, that's all right, isn't it?

On another subject entirely: Jett, this is going to make me look bad,
but...how do you lose interest in sex? <ducks>

I got discouraged when I realized that my PCs have more sex than I do. :>

I suppose that would do it.

Most of my PCs are bloody monks; I don't know if this is a compensatory
measure from my high school and college gaming days, when I was a bit of
a whore-dog, or what, but most of my PCs don't pursue it much.

Now people are going to take me to task about admitting I was a
whore-dog in high school....

That's where fantasy roleplaying comes in. There's no fantasy in the
game the other way.

So what are your PCs doing that you aren't? :)
