If you go unconscious from stun damage in the Astral plane, I assume
you "snap back" to your body in the same way for real damage.
I wouldn't be surprised if some DM's ruled you don't, however.

In the second question, I presume you're asking what happens if
someone does stun damage to the projecting mage's body. I'm not sure
anything would happen, but wasn't this mentioned in the original
harlequin adventure (the one where the team gets kidnapped)?

It is, unless you mean damage to the body, not the astral one.

Err, just what could he do to a (mundane) street sam?

Physical (or "real", as you call it) damage does NOT return a mage to
his body. He IS aware of it, however, but must travel back to his body
astrally.

As the rules state, any damage (physical or stun) that happens to either
part of the mage's being (physical or astral) happens to the other at
the same time. To make this clear, you only use ONE condition monitor
for any damage you acquire. Thus, you can take serious physical damage
on the astral, while taking another serious wound via your physical body
in the same combat phase and be considered to have more than a deadly
wound....it combines! The same with stun damage. This is a very strong
argument for protecting your party's Mage's body while he/she is
projecting. :)

As far as whether a mage automatically returns to his physical body when
knocked unconscious while projecting, I don't know if the rules say
anything of relevance. I would say yes, but that would be a house rule.

See above.

Send in his ally. Let the Ally waste the Sam. When the Ally is about to loose,
blast a level 8 Hellblast through him.
THAT he could do to a (mundane) Street Sam.

I sppse he could, but that's a lot of "IF"'s!

He means the Sammy in the team sees the wounds manifesting on the
unconcious body of the projecting mage. Assuming the mage is getting the
ever-loving drek kicked out of him and is too stubborn or just can't get
back to his body, the Sammy slaps the mage unconcious which throws the mage
back into his meat.
