Sounds like an interesting idea, kinda like those dogs the mage detective
was investigating in Awakenings.

My character, Bull (tell me if you get sick of hearing about him.) has two
twin children, Billy and Reba. Billy's an Otaku, while Reba's a mage with
some serious potential. Well, anyways, we live in Cleveland, but had to
make a run to Denver. Billy had met several of the Denver Deckers, mainly
Shiva. Well, we decided to take Billy along to meet with Shiva and see if
they could help him out, since Bull can't understand the way Otaku deck.

Well, about six hours after we arrive in Denver, were getting ready to make
our run, I'm about to take Billy to meet Shiva, when he gets violently sick.
I take him to ta nearby street doc that a contact told us about, and I call
home. Reba's in the same condition. The doc can't understand it, so he
calls in a shaman buddy of his. Bear Shaman, I think, one of the healing
totems.

Well, he does a little mini ritual and discovers the kids are linked, and
that they will die if theyt are seperated for too long. He also said that
it was something he'd never seen before, but that it was something from ages
past. My GM made a reference to something from Earthdawn, but I'm not the
least bit familiar with ED, so I don't know if there is a connection there
or not.

We took Billy home, then came back and finished therun, and the kids got
better almost as soon as they were together again. I really have no clue
exactly what was happeneing, just that it sounds similar to what you're
doing with your twins.

Steve, you wanna elaborate on this at all?

CYA:)

Actually, the way I worked this, was just a rip off of the extremely silly
Ogre Twin critter from ED.
Billy and Reba are both Orc children, and just for fun, I decided that they
cannot be seperated from each other for too long, else they sicken and die.
(Not exactly the way the Ogre Twin works, but that was the inspiration.)

No, I'll just sit here and laugh while your two preschoolers out deck you,
and out magic Johnny! ;-)

Grin. Would you believe that's where I got the idea?

Ray.
