I'm one. Tried it with both the secure and unsecure. Unfortunately, I don't
have a fax, so....

Hey... must be my lucky day...

23299 AND 23297...

I finally made the damn web browser work, and ordered one through there...

AND, they answered my EMail, and I got me another one through there!

Please, I gotta check if both get through, so no "I want one" email right
now... I might only get one, or none...

Lucky, bah. It's just a matter of typing fast enough that by the time
you're submitting the form, everybody else is still typing in their
credit card number... ;-)

Not to mention reloading the page every 10 seconds for fear that you
already missed the rush (and on two separate computers to make sure
that the cache wasn't messing things up). *sigh* 11 minutes late. I
was starting to get worried.

I cheated.

I bought a copy of Burning Bright also. What that allowed me to do was enter
all my information in the check out form (address, email, etc.) before I went
for the HB. Then I did a copy on the credit card field. I did all of this last
night.

I backed out of that page, and then went back in to test and see if all the
info stayed there. Sure enough the only thing that changed was the credit card
field had nothing in it but my mailing info was still there.

So when the time came I grabbed the SR3 HB, went to check out, and all I had
to do was paste the credit card and click the expiration date. Slick, no?

Lucky YOU! Because of the Way that the order form is so F****ng poorly
crafted it will no accept a British telephone no. Because most no. in
Britain only contain 6 digits not the 10 American.

I Hope all of you Americans out there enjoy the Hard backs because none of
the British can order them.

If you are British and managed to order a copy how the hell did you manage
to get them to accept your telephone no.

Gripe! Gripe! moan! Moan! coming very close to using Chainsaw on the already
battered computer before me.

Bah. That's not cheating - that's using your head. I did most of my

I think FASA is setting up people for disappointment (but people probably
understand the distinct possibility too). Considering the range of
confirmation numbers from the earliest one posted here, and the _latest_ one
that I have. (Yes, I ordered twice, and got all the automated confirmations
everyone else did). And the web site *still* says 'in-stock'....

The lowest number I've seen posted is mine at 23254 and the highest was
one of Trinity's at 23299, which is a spread of 45 books. Just about
two thirds. Plenty to go around. :-)

Don't think so. My confirmation number was in the 300's.

Our (myself, my spouse and a couple of friends) numbers span a range of 67
numbers. My highest number minus your "lowest" number is almost 90.

Hate to worry people but ... Those Confirmation numbers might simply be
confirming that your order was processed NOT that you have hardback
reserved ... Hopefully that's not that case ... good luck to you all and
I hope you manage to snag BABYs (Why does that sound odd?)

That's not cheating. That's just hacking the edges of the system
presented to you.
Personally, I reverse engineered the URL the site uses to add an item
to the card, and plugged in the product number for the hardback.

Was kind of strange to see the "View Your Cart" page before the
hardbacks were made available.
Instead of the box where you can enter or change your quantity of a
product, there was a Red Flag graphic with the words "Comming Soon". I
just had to hit reload until the red flag was replaced with an actual
quantity box, indicating the hardbacks had become available.

Of course, the repeated server timeouts ended up crashing my computer,
so all the fancy URL hacking did me no good, since I had to start all
over.
