I was originally going to post just to ask whomever sent me info on the Big
Knobi Klub (tm) to send it to me again because I foolishly lost the original
email, but getting material of that particular bit of Shadowrun Seattle
history got me to thinking...

As you may already know, I'm working (or re-working, actually) the Seattle
Sourcebook for Shadowrun 3rd edition, updating the book to the style and
events of the past 8+ years of Shadowrun. One of the elements I'm preserving
from the original book if at all possible is the long list of restaurants,
bars, hotels, etc. as an appendix in the book, containing all of the places
of interest, so gamemasters who need a restaurant or whatever for a
particular scene just need to flip to the back of the book and pick one.

Here's where the list comes in. I've already compiled a complete list from
the Seattle book. I'd like to add some additional location names, etc. to the
appendix to fill it out a bit. What I would like is for people to send me the
new hangouts, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, etc. they have created for their
own version of Seattle for inclusion in the book. These are the rules:

1) Send submissions directly to me at talonmail@***.com. Don't post them to
the list, since I don't want to clog the list up with posts not meant for
discussion.

2) Keep in mind anything you send me will end up the property of FASA Corp.
Don't send me anything based on already copywrited material that I can't use
(or at least try and file off the serial numbers). I will try to ensure
everyone who contributes gets credit in the book, but that's about all I have
to offer by way of compensation. Seeing your place become part of Shadowrun
Seattle will be your only reward.

3) Entries will be chosen on my completely subjective whims and the needs of
the book. There's no promise I will use everything I get, although I will
try.

4) Entires should contain at lest the following: the name of the
establishment, it's Seattle street address (including which district it is
located in), the owner/manager's name and a BRIEF description. Use the stuff
in the Seattle Sourcebook as a guide. Keep it to no more than a paragraph at
most. A couple sentences is better.

I most likely will not be able to reply to everyone who sends an entry, but I
will try and reply to everyone who sends an entry that I use once the book is
done.

That's it. So, if you have an place in Seattle you think other shadowrunners
should know about, send me the information and we'll see what we can do about
it.

Stick to the shadows, everyone,
Steve
