body*, IMO, should be seperate from the body stat of the physical body
itself.
*Note: this may or may not also apply to allies inhabiting a living body
at the GM's descretion.
The most realistic way to represent this would be to roll seperate damage
tests for the physical body and for the ally's bond to that body.
Whenever the body is healed/repaired, the ally would have to resist
damage equal to the damage repaired. The power level of this "attack"
should be (again, IMO) equal to the number of boxes healed/repaired+2.
Of course all that rolling could get quite annoying ...
Instead, you could average the body of the physical form and the ally's
body together for damage resistance and use the ally's body for resisting
the damage caused by healing/repairing the body inhabited.
What caused me to come up with these odd idea? Herbie ... If Herbie is a
free ally spirit, then "he" follows the above mechanics ... (In one
movie, he was actually cut in half and kept on driving ...)
I'm not suggesting that Disney's Herbie series of movies are solid proof
for such a concept, but this game mechanic, IMO, could add some
interesting flavor to SR games ...
