Subject: SR3 PBeM Game
Date: Sat Nov 24 07:20:00 2001
Hoi chummers,

I'm underway to start a new SR3 PBeM game. I will use SR3 rules (including
SRC, M&M, MiTS, Matrix and CC).
Any one who's interested should send me an email with their character idea.
But before you respond, please take a loo on the background info and
character generation guidelines:

CHARACTER GENERATION GUIDELINES
================================- all characters should be made with the alternative Build
Point system from
SRC with 125 points (if you don't have it make the character with the plain
Priority System.). All normal SR3 rules apply.
- I would prefer characters made with NSRCG.
- NO metahuman variants (and ghouls, vampires, shapeshifters...)
- Edges & Flaws allowed with a maximum of 7 points in Edges and/or Flaws
each.
- no Equipment/Cyberware/... with an Availability of 9+ (unless you talk to
me first and convince me otherwise).
- no MinMaxed characters please.
- no more than 4 contacts per character (it's easier to flesh out only a few
contacts than having a bunch of faceless NPCs)

OTHER INFORMATION
=================- The game is set in Seattle at the beginning of the Renraku Arcology
crisis. The Runners are at the beginning of their careers (reputation-wise).
- I prefer character-interaction before ultra-professionalism (bad bad
experiences surface again...).
- All character types (Decker, Magician, Sammies, ...) are normally
accepted.
- Part-Time PCs as Half-NPCs are also accepted.
- I prefer a maximum of 6 PCs (with the addition of aforementioned HNPCs).
- mailings: 2-3 times a week if possible.

I you have any questions or comments, please feel free to ask me.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Frank

I'd do a troll ex-ganger.
Wot's NSRCG? Oh, ok. Just found it. You mean the nsrcg mentioned in the
thread Shadowrun Charakter Generator, right?
The alternative BP-System is 3rd edition? with no free knowlegde skills?
How about Becks?

Yes and no. The BP system is in the SR3 Companion. You get the normal amount
of knowledge skills.

If you've still got room, how about a Dwarf Decker? hell, I'll even come
in as a part-time PC if your 6 slots are already taken...I've been
running games too long and need to play something. And if Decker is
already filled, Dwarf Rigger (they're somewhat interchangeable anyway
;-)

Slots are filling fast ;-)
We already have a dwarfen combat decker (and another 2 or 3 players wanting
to play a decker..)
A Dwarfen Rigger would be OK. We have one Half-NPC Drone-Rigger, but no
full-PC Rigger.

If the characters submitted to me are OK, I add the player to the game -
kind of First-Come First-Serve thing.

Any chance you would mind elaborating on why you wouldn't allow BeCKS?

Hi, I have to apologise, I did not find time to generate a
character yet, my techno-mage will be done soon. I will make
him a 120 pointer from the Companion. He will be mildly
cybered (datajack, etc.) and have taken some sort of Gaes to
compensate.

Background will be Native of CalFree, AB in thaumaturgical
Studies from Cal, Berkeley, former grad student needs a job.

More, (including a name) later. --Anders

I've got more than enough submissions to start the PBEM game. I won't take

Hi Adam,

> Any chance you would mind elaborating on why you wouldn't allow BeCKS?

Sure. I haven't read the BeCKS system yet, so I don't allow it, it that
simple.
I've downloaded the TSS15, but haven't found the time to read it. If you're
interested, I will give you some feedback ...

BTW, I think that the BP system is good enough and I personally don't need
another Character Generation System.
