Well, I'd say;
MitS is better than Grimoire 1&2, and Awakenings
Matrix is better than Virtual Realities 1&2
RBB isn't directly comparable to R2 or R3, but I think the creation
method is better now (though, I've only seen pre-release R3)
The cars pictures and shadowtalk were nice enough, and I'll still use RBB
sometimes, but R2-3 is much better for mechanics and such.
Shadowtech was a great book, but Bioware is much better in M&M. Chemistry
(or, however you want to spell it.. :-) as well. I don't think the IC
sections of Shadowtech added to the usefulness of the book.
the Gun's books were better with shadowtalk/ IC stuff. I do like CC
though.
Corp Download beats Corporate Shadowfiles hands down.
The Big Plot Movers, they're the same quality. Bug City is great,
Dunkie's death was good, didn't like Deus, etc. The Horror plotline was
so-so, but never really got a major book. I loved Blood in the Boardroom,
Mob War was okay, and YotC looks to beat both.
Place Books: I guess they never sold well. Aztlan and Tir Tairngire are
great IMO. Target: UCAS is good. Both Seattles are good for different
reasons.CFS and Tir na nOg I didn't like much. London and Germany were
okay. Target: Smuggler's haven was decent.
So, anyway, in a direct product comparison, I feel that Mike M is doing a
better job overall. He's had roughly a third of the total SR time and the
future looked great.
Just my opinion of course :-)
