First of all, you are correct in that SR3 does NOT include any guidelines for
Ritual Magic, and given with the volume of material in the text, I can readily
understand why from that POV. However, I can also see why they chose not to
include it, as "Ritual Magic" is far more complex than regular magic, and
should really have been placed in the Grimoire in the previous editions.

As for Quickenings and their fate, that I cannot say. I know I asked Steve
once about them, and he did state that they were "fixed", but Mike B. was
talking to Jon S. in my earshot and we were on the first floor near the
registration line, so I missed the rest of the commentary Steve put forward.
I also know that he (Steve) has changed (streamlined) Anchorings in the
upcoming MitS text, and from what he did inform me of, I am very intrigued.
