Anyway, a comment about shields came up the other day. In SR2 the
riot shields provide a small amount of ballistic armour and that
about sums it up, one would have expected them to be rather useful in
melee combat (not that i would expect to see character using sword
and shield in SR, with guns you can do a lot more damage with more
subtle items) but the total lack of usefulness of themi sstrange
