Hiya,

Can anyone please give me a brief rundown (either in
email or on the list if it's of general interest) of
the SR and ED tournaments at GenCon? I registered too
late to get into SR, but I heard it was a lot of fun.
I also heard that both of them were linked and had
something to do with Lofwyr. Very interested in finding
out more.

Thanks,

Well, I played in the Earthdawn tourny. It was possibly the worst
role-playing session I ever was involved with. Mainly because the GM was
(IMHO) horrible. Spent most of the time making perception rolls, just to
have him tell us "You see a deer bound away from the path." Well, gee,
thanks. We actually went after the deer because we were so bloody bored.
Also, there was some very large, VERY loud group in the corner of the room
and the GM and the team had a hard time hearing each other.

"Saviors of Barsaive" and "His Overgovernor's Secret Service" were
much
better. :)
