I think your probably wrong there.
White Wolf might not be around any more, but the copyright still exists.
If the company that OWNED White Wolf still exists, then it belongs to them.
(And I haven heard any fast breaking news stories of THAT company going
bust.....

Also, if the copyright belongs a company that goes bust, it reverts to the
original author.

It does kind of descend into a moot point right around here. The company
isn't gonna care 'cause they're not losing money off the deal - or at most,
only 3 bucks - and the author doesn't care as long as he's got the
intellectual property rights, which he does. If you were trying to reproduce
it for a for-profit publication, then you'd be in deep drek, but otherwise
they ignore it.
