I am looking for people who have a great deal of experience playing or GMing
riggers, or who just happen to be qualified to judge the quality of
submissions to the Shadowrun Car Show. We will need a panel of such judges,
and it makes the most sense to troll for them here.

One caveat; being a Shadowrun Car Show [SRCS] Judge means that you won't be
able to submit designs to the contest.

If you are interested in poring over the works of your peers, deciding which
of their submissions qualifies as that distinct class we call "the best,"
please e-mail me offlist and let me know. Please include in your e-mail why
you are qualified to be a judge, and, as a favor to me, please include why
you would _like_ to be one. I'm just curious that way.

Thank you very much.

If you do this with Judges, then maybe we should have a People Choice award
so than anyone can vote as well?

I knew I kept you around for a reason. :) That's a great idea.

Or do you think we could automate the voting process on the page so that
everyone could vote, a la people's choice, with no formal judging? Have a
set time limit, say, of two weeks, after which voting closes. Could you
script the voting so people could browse around and vote for their
favorites?

You could have formal judges if you want as well, but yes I'd go with an
automated voting process so that everyone could vote.
What about something like this:
Entries are submitted from the 15th of one month to the 15th of the next.
From the 16th to the end of that month votes are submitted for the
vehicles of that month. End of that month page displays the top winners in
each category.
Then end of that year we could take the winners of each month and vote on
Vehicle of the Year.

Easiest way to do the voting would be have a page that listed all the
vehicles of a particular category and then say pick your choice out of a
list. It'd be nice to actually have a "Vote for Me" link on each
Vehicle...perhaps something I can add later.

Then that is the way we'll do it. [Oh, it's nice to know someone who can
code...] :)

Easily done, I have the scripts to do that already.

I'll get back to your private mails later today Dan^2, and see if we can't
sort this thing out :)
