Subject: SR + ED linked campaign

I'm probably going to be called on to GM again soon and was thinking about
what to do and I had a nifty idea. Run two campaigns simultaneously, an SR
and an ED and have them connected in some way. I'm just not sure how to
connect them.

One idea I had was to have as a long term plot the ED set has to find and
deal with a Horror that feeds off of greed. It has Now dealing will be
difficult cuz say this Horror has taken control of Thera by controlling a
couple individuals. Vey long term thing. It would have a definate modus
operandi <sp> though.

Then after the ED characters get a clue, similar things start to be hinted
at in the SR, say in the upper echelons of some mega corp. Same Horror.

That is just one idea, I would appreciate anything you guys can throw out.

How about reincarnation (sp?), you could have some elven mage remember
stuff from his previous lives (got anyone from Ireland ?). Something like
this: WOW I just rememberred that I was a mage in Atlantis in a previous
life *gasp* :) (no pun intended).

If you believe in reincarnation then you could have the runners be the
ancestors of the ED adventurers. Then you through in some sort of big
karmic debt of conflict, and link the lives. You could haev some sort of
elven Adept who is still alive be owed a debt, or he could be the fixer
that brought them all together and is pulling strings to help them in
there lifes strechting quest. A lot of the combat based adepts in ED
could be modified physical adepts in SR. Just a thought.

Actually, I was just thinking about my greed eating horror while in psych :)
and had an idea. This bugger is a very special case. He can do something
like horror marking you and then you becom elinked. As long as you are
greedy and act on it it feeds from you through the link. You don't notice
anything. If you are particularly succulent then you may even get help from
time to time inorder to keep the greed coming. Now, if someone changes and
starts acting selflessly and generous and self sacrificing, the Horror
cannot very well deal with this. It saps it's power. It cannot dissolve the
link though, so it has to come kill the poor selfless sap. Or send some
other greedy sucker to do it for him :)

What do ya'll think. Assume the runners got linked. It would love most
runners, now picture problem they face when they want to be nice guys, or
take this Horror they found out about down. hehehehehe. They fail to kill it
at least in the ED campaign. In SR w/ more tech and a much more greedy
world. Ooohh boy.

Don't let it be the influence of a Horror. Make a Questor of Chorrolis or
or Raggok out of that character.
