hey mike/keith...i know this is a bit late for what you asked but you could
use the harpoon/spear-guns or the sling launcher from cyberpirates for the
grappleguns used to plant a ship firmly on the ground/surface of an
asteroid/moon/planet. just add in some automatic tensioners that could be
set to certain degrees of tension to keep it planted through changes in
gravity and surface stability.
