I'd also add Collateral, with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. A very SR-ish
plot about a guy doing things in SR-ish ways, I thought.

Waterhouse works on a data retrieval system in his log cabin, that
sounds computer-related to me :)

Same here. To a large degree, the game rules define the reality of the
game world, and if there is not a good reason to deviate far from them,
I don't see the point. Of course, if you have an easy alternative for a
rule that you feel doesn't work, go ahead and use it -- but I don't see
the need to change rules that aren't overly realistic, only to replace
them with much more convoluted ones in the name of realism.
