I've been looking around lately and I haven't been able to find much
about what's going on south of the border (Central,South America). I'm
thinking about starting a small campaign set down there. Can anybody help
me out here? I'm not sure if anythings ever been published by FASA about
it. Was anything ever published in the NAGEE about So. Amereica? Any help
or suggestions would my much appreciated. E-mail it or post it, whichever.

Thanks!!

Jason

Well, Jason, I haven't heard of any sourcebooks, but, you can always do what we
GMs do best. Improvise. :->

well, there are 2 answers to that...

1. I was curious as well, and asked the DLoH about it at a "Future of SR"
discussion at Origins 94. I think I asked if there was going to be any
info about Aztlan, Amazonia, or anything else down there... he answered
that there were definite plans in the works and that books would be seen
on those subjects within the next few years.

2. Nigel Findley has posted to the net that he has already finished the
Aztlan book, and it is due out before summer.

aslo, incidentally. There is an Orbitals sourcebook in the works, by a
guy that works for NASA. and here's one of my favorite stories :

there were actually 2 guys up there, Mr. Dowd, and some other guy whose
name I forget...
anyway, after my asking about 3rd world countries, the guy closed his
answer by adding "and there's something brewing in Tibet you may NEVER
find out about" at which point the DLoH shot him a killing glare (ouch)
and he promptly shut up. The way they talked, they already have outlines
for what's going on over the ENTIRE globe. They're just slowly dealing
it out to us, which is good, cause it increases the quality.

anyway...
till Tibet explodes!

Jason,
I would bvelieve that since the Aztecs retook Mexico, that the Incas would
control the Andes. That's right nothern Chile to southern Colombia would be
back under Incan rule. Amazonia has control over all of Brazil, unless I'm
mistaken. As for Venezuela, the Guyanas, Suriname, Uraguay, and Argentina I
have no idea. Maybe Argentina stayed intact. The (new) Incan Empire may be
at war with Amazonia, or have skirmishes often, or may even have a cordial
relationship with the Amazons.
Hope this helps,
Tom Craig

Could it be like something I read in an issue of White Wolf a few months ago
(issue 47 I think)? This new game, Heavy Gear, from Dream Pod 9/Ianus had
its whole history planned out before the game was actually released, and
they're planning on bringing out sourcebooks that advance the storyline
according to that plan. It's sort of like a huge adventure where everything
becomes clearer the more sourcebooks they publish.
It is possible that FASA more or less are doing the same thing with
Shadowrun... maybe not from the outstart, but it looks to me like they are now.
