No, actually, it isn't a reasonable choice. "Kill File" also means that
direct confrontation doesn't occur, which in and unto itself creates
differences and generates opinions.

Rune, the "Bzzzt" comes from another posting, of which I admitted to being
incorrect. The problem here is you are -not- incorrect in any standing, even
your own.

As to the ideas you said you have posted, perhaps you did, but the were
drowned out by the overwhelmance of nitpicking that occured.

And I don't nitpick, I retract, I expose, I suggest, I point out.

You have a temper, one that has no direction when you have no way of
understanding "exact tone of voice", such as email retracts from.

You have nailed many things into each and every idea coffin that occurs
around, and casually point out how "wrong" an idea often is. And not just
ours (Mike or mine own), but the vast majority of them.

You go for the military details on guns.
You go for the unix system on computers, or DOS or Linux, or whatever.
You go for orbital physics as they stand now.

Never once do you allow for the fact that SR, like all RPG's, is a "Genre"
game. Part of that Genre generation is what happens in SR in general.

We (You and I) call each other names because that is part of our nature and it
has occurred in that fashion. In many ways, it is no different than any other
opinion driven force that occurs in the world. That is just the way it is
between us. If you face "killfiling" me, then you will find -only- the ideas
that are concentric to your own most likely and have proven yourself incapable
of operating under new ideas, one that shakes a given "world view".

And yes Justin, if you are reading this, I have long since gotten over it. I
have learned to accept "any" world view as a given definition elsewhere.

Even Rune's, even your own.

SR in general is an "Open World View", one that details and lists the events
in an open forum in such a way as to allow for massive variable entrance (such
as going into space with different tech orientations than the current time
allows for).

But, if you've killfiled me, then it's too late.

You've already closed the Door's of Possibility that exist.

I on the other hand, I won't because even an idea I may vehemently be opposed
to, does NOT mean I vehemently opposed to the person's having it.

I could claim anything I wanted, as have you. But I simply put back the
information as you and others have presented in the format that you have
presented and low and behold, it isn't what you intended.

That happens.

SR, AD&D (no 'PCing'), ED, BTech, anything at all, even that -damn- MtG crap
(again, IMO)...have these options. Each one has them differently and with
different degrees of interest and flexibility.

You -require- understanding because you do not have it.

I don't, because I know that I don't know nor can I know, everything.

Make the choice to accept that fact, strive to learn more anyway, don't
killfile anyone even those you disagree with, and you will come out a FAR
better gamer.

Instead of one that claims his games aren't as "powerful" as others, then has
a Butler to do his servant's work for him.

What was that, more than a million nuyen equivalent lifestyle? Something that
a SINless wouldn't pay taxes on? Isn't he ready for retirement, even though a
beginning character can have that 'million nuyen' as a beginning. Tell me,
were his credsticks legititmate or "inventorial" in their nature?

Yes, I do read a lot of stuff. All of that paragraph is taken from you
directly.

We both know the levels of hypocrisy we are both capable of.

Take a good look at your picture of choice, make those eyes any deeper set and
you will have almost achieved that unreachability you are shooting for...even
from the mirror you may have to shave in.

On the "hiding behind planets" thing...Battlestar Galactica(was born a
few years too late for it though...like a few years after it ended, and
this is from theme stuff on a MU* I'm on. may not be right) used it.....
dunno....seemed sorta flaky, but when they said their SENSORS couldn't
penetrate it.
