Subject: | [SRTCG] More FAQ stuff for Loki (and others) to think on |

I figured I'd post, as well as how we solved it and why we did it that way...
1. If a character takes Armor Piercing Damage, and is wearing an Armored
Vest (Or one of the other arnors that gets trashed sometimes), does he
still have to roll? This question came up when the character was damaed by
AP Dam in a situation when the armor wouldn;t have gotten damaged (don;t
remember what it was off ahnd though). Of course, I think it's also cause
Tinner was thinking too hard of ways to cheat. :]
We said that Yes, you still have to roll. Mostly because you have to keep
the rules simple and even for every situation, and some AP damage WOULD
damage the armor.
2. When a Runner team faces a Challenge in a 3+ player game, does that
challenge get revealed to all players? Or do the other players just get to
watch as the Runners scream and drop like flies? <evil grin>
We said that only the owner of teh Challenge and the running player sees
the Challenge, as this makes things fun (mostly due to the dying and
screaming:)).
3. What is teh official cost for Z-Zone? And did this card get fixed in
the main set? I have the Demo version which has no number where the cost
should be.
Mr. White playtested the game at origins and said that he was told that the
card costed 6 nuyen, so that's what we're using it as for the time being,
but...:]
4. In the case of Objectives and Challenges that require you to roll to
see what happens, who rolls?
This one doesn;t matter, but there are too many rules-lawyers magic players
out there who will argue this one for years...:]
We've played with several people now, and all but one of the guys has
played Magic for a long time (and we're all familiar with SR), and when you
play Magic with a large group of people or play with a lot of different
people, you get used to having to learn exactly how every single fragging
rule works, and even then you don;t always know the rules cause WOTC has a
bad habit of flip flopping on the rules nuances.
Hell, Tinner and I called WOTC's Magic Hotline one time when we were
playing Magic heavily, and we both called on the same day, and got opposite
answers to teh same question, so that should tell you something...:/
Anyways, I'm just posting some questions as they come up to help clarify
things for others...:]
