Let's see - I'd recommend 'Johnny Mnemonic' (which IMHO got a mega-bad
rap by the clueless reviewer types who couldn't figure out the plot)
(I _loved_ the wall graffiti)

Tons of 'em...

Hackers
Sneakers
Die Hard (all)
Highlander (all)
Any John Woo movie
Blade Runner
Predator (both)
Alien (all)
Terminator (both)
Cast a Deadly Spell
The Craft
The Crow
Heat
The Godfather (all)
Any James Bond movie
Black Rain
Seven (my personal fave)
Silence of the Lambs
Natural Born Killers
Big Trouble in Little China
Showdown in Little Tokyo
A Clockwork Orange
Goodfellas
Casino
Strange Days
Judgement Night
King of New York
Escape from New York
Carlito's Way
Desperado
Pulp Fiction
True Romance

Man, there's literally hundreds of movies. So see all you can. Think about
the atmosphere of your particular game and grab movies that accent that. I
play a nasty, dark, and evil game so I go with shows that fit that
particular bill. If you play a fluffy SR campaign, then Sneakers, Hackers,
and BTILC are good ways to go.

I watch way too many movies and there's so many more I need to see...

Just another thing that I'd like to add :

1) Personally, I thought Johnny Mneumonic (sp?) was a very good Shadowrun
style movie. I mean c'mon! The screenplay was written by Will Gibson
him self, so other than not having magical content, I think it provides
one of the best overviews yet.

2) Lately I've noticed an emergence of many new SRII type movies (ie.,
Hackers, Johnny Mneumonic, and Strange Days). I've sent a letter to
FASA awhile ago saying they should make one themselves. So what I'd
like to say, is "Keep your eyes peeled" 'cus there's bound to be another
good one soon!

I JUST remembered a movie that dang near is a shadowrun...

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. This movie stars Mickey Rourke as
Harley Davidson (yes this is his street name) and Don Johnson, formerly of
Miami Vice fame as the Marlboro Man. This movie has some great gun fights, a
botched run and great Corp. opposition. I strongly reccomend it.
