bullet rather than providing automatic successes. Personally, I think
this stinks. The reason being, mages and other low body types have serious
problems in a firefight. Like dying. Easily.
Someone with a body of less than 4 will always take damage when
shot at with anything that does medium damage to start. Always. For our
game we use a rule that any damage that is staged away by using armor successes
is taken as one lower level of mental damage. I.e. character takes 8S3 from
a sniper rifle and rolls no successes on the body test. He does have 9
point of armor though. This means that he take a medium mental wound (one
category less than the armor offset). It makes firfights quicker, but it also
tends to knock heavily armored people out rather than killing them.
I know that people have been using this rule previously. Is it better
than the old system? Do mages tend to get zapped alot in firefights?
Thanks,
Skrag.
