I generally base my pay on the difficulty of the run and the current power
level in the game... usually when it comes to runs for the PCs, I maintain a
large list of run ideas and notes... and when it comes time to make offers
to the PCs I give them a choice of runs to pick and choose from...

So if they call up their fixer and find out what the word on the street
is... the fixer might offer them a choice of 4 or 5 runs... there will
usually be a milk run in there (very basic... 1-3 karma, and a few bucks in
the pocket... but will be short and quick usually with very little risk
(unless that pesky mr johnson was lying))... all the way up to a high
paying, high karma, life-on-the-line type run... its the quick ticket to
fame and power, but it has its risks.

Anyhow... I also keep alot of notes on the runs I do... so I open my book
here and I can go into the past 13 runs my PCs have done and give you the
scoop on pay/karma/etc...

NOTES:
The pay listed is PER PLAYER
The karma listed is PER PLAYER (and is the rough average of the players)
The pay listed is AFTER negotiations rolls were made

Run 1:
Decker called PC up, he was running a matrix and was in dire need to
jack out, so he dumped the data from the run to a chip in the facility he
was raiding... emergency... needs PCs to B/E right now and get the chip from
the chip burner its in before the morning clean up crew comes in and finds
it.
PAY: 5,000¥
Karma: 2

Run 2:
PCs were hired to B/E into a smaller corporation (no onsite security,
was all electronic and linked to Triad Securities) and snag a certain
numbered data file (found in the secretarial pool)
PAY: 3,500¥
Karma: 3

Run 3:
PCs hired by a high level fixer, mostly a roleplay run. B/E into a
weapons R&D facility, need to get holopictures of the weapon, the lab it was
made in and copies of the R&D files.
PAY: 3,250¥, Paydata of 3,500¥/ea
Karma: 5

Run 4:
PCs hired to B/E into a 22 story corp facility... an executive contact's
son is joining organized crime group and is on a job as part of
initiation... PCs to find them and kill the team off and kidnap the son...
as an aside, PCs were asked to leave a tiny bomb behind to do damage and
hide the bodies. Was first run the PCs were screwed on... the "exec's son"
was really just a putz killed by the corp after the PCs brought him in...
the bomb was a high concentrate that took out the top floors of the
facility.
PAY: 12,000¥
Karma: 5

Run 5:
PCs were contacted by high level exec. They were to masquerade as corp
execs and attend party at Greek Embassy in Berlin. The embassy matrix is
entirely offline... PCs were to either put the matrix online for external
deckers to crack, or to download the entire info. PCs couldn't get matrix
online and wound up downloading it.
PAY: 7,000¥, PAYDATA: 35,000¥/each in cyberdecks and programs
KARMA: 5

Run 6:
PCs hired to bug the executive boardroom of medium sized company.
PAY: 17,000¥
KARMA: 5

Run 7:
PCs hired to B/E into a corp and put their R&D matrix online to the net
PAY: 4,500¥ + location and contacts to a betaware/bioware clinic in S.
Africa
KARMA: 5
(Note: you might think "wow a betaware/bioware clinic" but I treat beta and
delta cyber as well as almost all forms of bioware in my game as I would
magic items in D&D... something rare that should be doled out sparingly)

Run 8:
PCs opted to take a high risk and high pay run... Were hired to B/E into
an arcology to break into the CEO's office... break into safe and steal
collectible item... turned into a huge kidnapping/ransom thing in the end as
the PCs needed hostages to escape.
PAY: 125,000¥ + about 100,000¥/ea in paydata and ransom money
KARMA: 7

Run 9:
PCs hired by streetdoc contact... 2 of the doc's contacts at the
hospital swiped some cyber and were bringing it over to him, but their
ambulance was knocked off by a street gang. Doc hires PCs to get the
cyberware back and free his 2 contacts.
PAY: 18,000¥ + favor from doc + 2 paramedic contacts
KARMA: 6

Run 10:
Mafia cappo hires PCs to shut down a yakuza BTL operation and swipe all
their stuff.
PAY: 25,000¥ + got crate of BTL chips + family katana off head of security
KARMA: 6

Run 11:
PCs hired to break into a corp site and snag some memory chips. Corp
had heavy electronics security, none onsite.
PAY: 5,000¥ + meagre paydata
KARMA: 3

Run 12:
PCs hired to B/E into corp compound, heavy security. Job is to find the
matrix facility and attach a datastore to the matrix (to spread a virus thru
thier matrix).
PAY: 20,000¥ + PAYDATA: 45,000¥/each in cyberdecks
KARMA: 7

Run 13:
PCs hired to B/E into primary R&D and test facility of BMW and using
their Vehicle (B/R) skill they need to make changes to the vehicle so that
it has a major design flaw that might not get noticed until after
production.
PAY: 25,000¥ + PAYDATA: 15,000¥/ea in files + PCs lost van in firefight,
escaped in the new prototype limo for next year (sold quickly for an extra
250,000¥ total)
KARMA: 6

Anyhow... Runs #14-16 are being run this week so I cannot comment further.
Hopefully that might help... if not for prices, might give you some run
hooks or something.
