this little boggle came to me in a flash of thought as I was planning my new
character in one of my physics classes (i was bored ok!)....anyway when you get
your skills during character creation and you decide to specilize/concetrate
does that cost extra points or no? I have wondered about this since day one of
the rules creation and have hence not realy used specialization...comments
appreciated

Concentrating and specializing don't cost extra points, because while you're
adding points to your skill in some areas, you're deducting points from your
skill in other areas.

It doesn't cost more, it just adjust the values allowing you to be better in
a subset of the skill buy sacrificing your overall skill level.

Example: Given four skill points in Firearms a character could take:
a) Firearms 4,
b) Firearms 3 and Pistols 5, or
c) Firearms 2, Pistols 4, and Remington Roomsweeper 6

Any questions?
