I always went for the theory that gas costs were part of your lifestyle, and
economy and range become important when you are away from civilization, or when
you are in a car chase, IE when the GM is toying with you! <g>

I agree with you for this. It was how I was mastering until I want to know
what's the cost of the trip from Seattle to New York with an Ares City
Master(tm)

How are you going to get the Citymaster past the border? As a base esimate,
I would just take the current price of Gasoline in 199? dollars, and multiply
by 2 to get Nuyen (i figured this multiple from lifestyle BTW), and add any
other multipliers you see fit
