I'm one of the GM's Spellslinger was talking about. I realize it takes
MONDO karma for the troll to get a Body of 21, but I still think it is
somewhat unfair. But what to do?

I like it where you can only raise one mental and one physical attribute
to 1.5x maximum. The other stats can be raised to 1.25x maximum, rounded
off. The reason I like this is because I think it closer reflects
reality, in a sort of twisted way. I mean, those Olympic wieght lifters
and those grotesquely huge body builders very clearly have a Strength of
somewhere around 9. But how quick are they? NOT VERY. That kind of
muscle mass really takes away from flexibility, and you are taking those
quick-firing speed muscles sprinters rely on and converting them into
weight-lifting muscles.

In this way, I feel it evens things out. This way, sure, the troll can
have the Body of 21, but he won't have a 16 Strength or something,
without cyber. I don't know, but it's what I use.

Well, actually, what you say doesn't sound half bad. Probably a good idea I
think. For it to actually come into play would require a somewhat advanced
game though, as you still need a lot of karma to get up into that region,
but the reasoning seems quite sound.
