No I don't mean those pesky spirits. Sorry Fendaran your not going to get
any clues on your next adventure here. I'm talking about things that
transmit in the EM spectrum.

If I remeber my physics correctly a superconductor while in that state is
impervious to magnetic fields. If my memory is correct and I suspect it is.
Could one not create a case that has a superconductor layer built into it.
Assuming you keep it cooled with liquid nitrogen the box should completely
shield any signal from a device placed in it.

Next is there any reference in shadowrun for either room temperature
superconductors or near room temp superconductors?

Besides the ones that get implanted in your spine when you get "Reflex
Enhancers"? (SR3 and Cybertechnology) No, they are specifically stated
to not yet exist. :-P

That depends upon what you mean by "impervious". The magnetic induction
passes through the superconducting material: however, it generates eddy
currents which in turn generate opposing magnetic fields sufficient to
cause the famous levitation effect (wherein a magnet levitates itself over
a superconductor).

Magnetic flux passes through all substances. However, all conductors
produce eddy currents which oppose work done by the magnetic field. An
example of the time honered principle of the perversity of inanimate
objects.
