I read it Barbie, and I'll tell you what I find bothering me of late.

A HUGE amount of mis- and disinformation running rampant from people. I
guess I might have said nothing on your own post concerning this topic for
instance, IF, you had mentioned something in a more clear statement like ...
"this isn't quite how the conversion guidelines put this, but I feel it works
better." That way people won't go from this list, stating "I found it
*here*, so it *MUST* be so." And believe me folks, this action DOES happen
here.

Like it or not, members and membership to THIS email list does carry some
strange degree of "weight" or "presumed authority" by other people who
either
don't know what the ShadowRN mailing list is, or know what it is, realize
there are *several* people on it who have directly contributed to the further
development of SR. It may seem strange, but it's true.

People with even more "famous" or "familiar" websites (such as
material
directly linked to the Shadowrun Archive or Gurth's "Plastic Warriors") can
generate similar effects beyond this.

In short, IF we are going to make statements, such as "Mike M. said
suchandsuch here", then at least give the clearest possible details that you
can the first time to eliminate pre-emptively the degree of clutter and
misinformation that can be generated. Sure, everyone makes slips and such,
thats' all fine. But statements that have going around of late are more than
just slips. They are directly opined statements put forward in a heavily,
almost inundative, manner by vocal people.

-K (who not only gets off the soap box...he sets fire too it after he does so)
