|Anyone play any games apart from Shadowrun? Moved rules and items etc
|between them? Come across any mage that has magically transported you
|into ADnD for a slaughter match? (hey just trying to stop the
|quietness... even if I do get flamed to all hell ;) )
When I started running SR I took the campaign that I had been running
in AD$D and adapted it to shadowrun. It required adding a parallel world
to the SR universe, with an artifact on one world (AD$D) causing the cycle
of magic on the SR world. The two worlds merged in 2001. Well, actually
the artifact finally did what it was supposed to do and destroyed its world
and merged the energy of that universe with the SR world. For my game this
in part explains the rapid rise of magic. It also means that when magic
fully returns it will not go away, which means that the horrors will be
here to stay. At the end of my campaign the characters will have an
opportunity to destroy all magic forever (using the same artifact) thereby
saving the world from the horrors. Sneaky, huh? Basically it doesn't
interfere with anything that FASA has planned, and gives me some options
that the players can't find by reading all the sourcebooks and adventures.
This also allows me to transfer a few of my AD$D NPCs to SR and play havoc
with the PCs.
