I do not think that resisting the drain 1 time for a sustained spell
is leniant. Remember, the mage sustaining the spell has a cumulative +2
mod. per spell sustained to all target #'s (except damage & drain
resistance) (Shadowrun always seems to have a lot of that "...to all
target #'s, *EXCEPT*" :-) But anyway, this is a pretty hefty penalty in
itself.
