Have you taken a look at the "Lone Star" source book? In there you find =
a SA/BF heavy pistol (can't remember the name) which must be the closest =
match for Robie's gun.

The only Pistol in the LS book is the Rugar Thunderbolt. It's BF
only, and look far more streamlined than the Predator/Robo's gun.
No, my friends, I tell you I studied the gun in the movie and the one
in the book, and if the Robo's gun looked anymore like the Predator,
it'd have to be black and white, and made of paper.

I'm not a gun feind, but a lot of my friends are. When the movie
cameout, I remeber hearing it (the actual prop gun) was a VERY heavily
modified Berrata of some sort that can actually go full auto.AFAIK,
thatand the Glock 17 are the only pistols with that function.
Apperently, something in the neighborhood of $50,000 was spent on the
gun (I don't recall if thats the collectors price or what the gunsmith
charged). This is all years old memory of rumour, though. Yes, the
picture for the Preadator is awfully similar. I always assumed the
artist was just um, "inspired by" the film.
I also think Robo had an awful lot of ammo - I remeber him cutting a
door in a wall with that gun in one long burst, but that may have been
the TV show.

Plus the fUSSR Stechkin.

Must have been. Mind you, he got something like fifty rounds out of one
magazine in RCI when he shot up the drug lab...

What can I say? The hero only runs out of ammo when dramatically
convenient ;)

As in a Lucky Luke comic: "Don't you ever have to reload?"
"After every story."
