Who knows? No-One has ever been on mars (Ok, those abducted guys, but if
you wanna belive them, that's up to you).
But my _theory_ is that since astral space depends upon life and since
there is no life (that we know of) on mars or venus, astral space shouldn=
t
exist there. (And if there was life on mars, astral space would probably
recuire more than a secret underground alien base.)
But thats just my 2 ören.

Ah, but see the key points are 1) life that we know of.. and 2) Astral
space derived from life that we know of...

Whos to say that astral space isn't patterned after the life that it is
dependant (spawned from?) on. There for...if there is a form of life on
other planets that is not compatible/understandable by (meta)humanity,
wouldn't you expect it's astral plane to be just as in-
compatible/understandable as well?

That would explain why it is that insanity is the usual result of
projecting into the metaplane of the Bugs...what other metaplanes might
exist out there in the netherworlds, do you think? Presumably a metaplane
of the Great Fiery Firmament, but I don't know...A Metaplane of Space
(the Void)? Light? Darkness? All of this, of course, depends upon how you
view how the metaplanes and the astral plane came to be. We know that
there is one for Wood, so...Earthdawn also had Metal Elementals, which,
I'm told, were just a form of Earth...Are there any comparable
differences stat-wise between the two?

Do the Attributes for the Spirits of the Great Fiery Firmament match up
with converted Attribute values for Wood elementals? I'm extrapolating
from the fact that all other Elementals and Nature Spirits share
Attribute mods with one of the other types (Water->Waters, Earth->Land,
Air->Sky, Fire-Man, ?->Fiery Firmament????)....

[snipped lots of stuff by myself and Canthros..]

WRT Fiery Firmament Spirits: I always thought they were a special Nature
spirit that was analogous to a Fire Elemental...I think the Tir book (was
it Tairngir or Nan Og?) said almost as much. However I don't own it and
haven't read it in a while.

They were in Tir Na Nog, but I haven't seen the inside of that, haven't
even picked it up browsing in the store...Just another book I need to
get...Stats-wise, though, AFAIK, the basic SR2 Nature spirits and
Elementals each match up with Attribute modifiers (though powers never do
come close). I was just wondering if the Attribute modifiers for Fiery
Firmament spirits and Wood elementals came close to be comparable...
