I know that Awakened Lands is apparently going to cover Australia, but
since its one book and it is going to cover more than just Australia,
its not hard to guess that it wont have anywhere as much detail as a
Target:Australia book would have.

Is anyone out there interested at all in getting together to write a
Target:Australia (or Target:Sydney, or Target:Brisbane, etc) ?

Could be interesting for runners to be able to go down under. After
all.. where else do the women glow and the men thunder? :)

Has anyone else done anything like this? A detailed look at "urban"
Australia and shadowrunning in them? (ie: not the 'outback' or the
desert or the magic.. but the cities and the locations, the runners, the
corps.. etc.)

*I come from the land of wonder, where people drink and then chunder...*

Sounds interesting. One of my friends has some stuff on Canberra
in Shadowrun as well. Depending on when you want this stuff, I could
well be interested.

Geez, if you are going to quote the song, then at least do it properly.
There are two different versions of the chorus:

I come from the land Down Under,
where women go and men plunder.
Can you hear, can you the thunder?
You'd better run, you'd better take cover.

OR (the version from after the second verse)

I come from the land Down Under,
where beer does flow and men chunder.
Can you hear, can you the thunder?
You'd better run, you'd better take cover.

cheers

i was gonna say that those weren't the words. i have only heard the second

the choruses were the same.

Women GLOW? I always thought they GREW. The song always conjured up
pictures of Hulkesque women getting angry, then growing to massive
proportions...

Anyway, I'd be interested in reading a Target: Australia book.
'Course, that's been attempted before, right?

I'd be interested.

BTW, an idea I had was that when the Comet storyline comes around, the
aborigines could use some pwerful ritual associated with it to partially
restore the balance in the Outback. This would of course cause the
conflict between the Urban folk and the Aborigines to escalate, due to
their being more land available now.
