Although pigs and humans have genetically similar immune systems, we taste
like pork because (like pigs) most of our fat is located in a layer between
the muscle and the skin, as opposed to beef and lamb, which are heavily
"marbled" meats with a lot of intramuscular fat. I don't recall if it's
been mentioned yet, but that's why cannibalistic tribes refer to the rest
of us tasty humans as long pig.

Hey, look on the bright side -- at least we don't taste like chicken. And
just FYI: I hear that the "filet mignon" of the human body is the pectoral
muscle.
