Have you made friends with any of these people?
If so, then you need to introduce them to SR.
Call me a radical, but maybe you could play a hand or two of M:TG with
them, and slowly work up to what other games they play.
If they are total Magic zombies, they'll likely say "What other games?"
That's your opening!
Steve Ratkovich (Bull) and I have converted about a half dozen hardcore
M:TG players from Magic only into SR, AD&D, Toon, Clay-O-Rama,
Warhammer, etc. - What you might call "GAMERS".
You can't blame people for being ignorant until you make an effort to
teach them another way to be! :-)
Good luck, I hope you find a bunch of new SR players.
Oh, and if you haven't been a GM before, don't worry. There's nothing to
it! <snicker ;-)>
