How does everyone on here go about using team karma? For quite some time we
have done this by a majority vote. If the majority of team members say "ok"
then no problem, otherwise "no".

But, recently, we've been thinking about weighting the votes: a person with
10 karma in the team pool gets twice the clout, or voting power, of someone
who only has 5. Maybe a better way would be that each member gets his
remaining team karma (we keep tabs on who has how much in team) as the number
of votes he gets to cast. We haven't had the opportunity to try this out
yet and I was hoping someone might have some other suggestions.

Gentlemen, the floor is yours.

The rules say that all should aprove of the action. If even one person
has a different opinion then its no go. This makes great sence as far as I
am concerned as a group can only function efficiently when all its members
share the same conviction views etc. If group that starts squabling in the
middle of a run is not an efficient one and thats why they shouldnt get to
use their pool.

I am sorry, but it says quite clearly that a majority of
players(wether they are in the room or waiting somewhere else) must
agree, and that the GM breaks ties.

Oh :) *blush* Then I guess its time to read that section again :)
Anyway I still think that this way of dealing with it works best.

A majority vote is what the rules say, see the last paragraph of page 191,
SR2.

I don't think I've ever bothered with Team Karma simply because I only had
one player... I don't think there's much to vote in such a case :(
