I was watching a TV commercial and suddenly realized that it would make a
great teaser (a before the adventure scenario, see James Bond movies for
examples) for shadowrun.

The commercial starts with plain cloths police chasing some bad guys on
foot. The bad guys jump in their car and speed away. The police don't
have a car handy and start looking around. They see a sports car, and a
volkswagon passat. The jump in the passat and tell the owner to "Follow
that car!".

I was thinking that this would be great fun if something like this happened
to a shadowrun character. The shadowrunner is in his car, waiting at a
stop light, when some guys come running out of a building, jump in their
car, and speed through the light. Lone Star cops come running out of the
building, see the car speeding away, jump in the shadowrunners car (it's at
the front of the line) and tell him to, "Follow that car!"

What follows is your typical madcap, drive through vendor stalls, jump the
curbs, type car chase :)

Before the shadowrunner knows what happened he ends up helping Lone Star
capture some bad guys, and ends up with his picture in the paper <egmg>.

Ouch, poor shadowrunner(s). I like it though, maybe get a banquewt or something,
policemens ball, all sorts of things....... "Waitaminute, isn't that the guy that
just stole our prototype laser weapon?"

OT, How do you tell mailcity to make the reply to the ShadowRN adress? Or, will I have to
use a different box?

Glad you liked it :)

I have no idea. You might want to try asking the folks at Mailcity. Or,
you could try one of the other free email services (yahoo, hotmail, eudora,
geocities, etc).

Oh, I am DEFINITELY using this one! Lets see... which one of my SINless
players with an unliscenced, unregistered vehicle is causing me the most
grief? Gee, lemme think... could it possibly be the troll combat mage
munchie with the unregistered Increase Reflexes focus he's ALWAYS wearing?

Dis'll be fun...

Just be prepared to run afterwards :^). He won't be too happy with you. In fact,
he might beat you senseless :^).

In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder,
bloodshed - they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.
In Switzerland they had brotherly
love, five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did they produce? The
cuckoo clock!

Is it me, or are munchkins generally the opposite of what the play in real life?

Anyway, just one little thing to add. anyone remember "Bedknobs and
broomsticks"? Wierd little disney film, but it had a fun spell...... Animated any
inanimate object... (suits of armor, shoes danced, etc.) Now apply THAT to munchboy with
his gun collection and weapon foci arsenal....

Greetings
I have always thought that an updated version of the movie "The
Blues Brothers" would make a great Shadowrun plot.

Joe.

It's been done. But could easily be re-done.

In this one, Elwood was an Orcish Rigger with a whole load of contacts...
