Its gonna be on Sunday here in the D.C. area. For those who
aren't heavily into trends in the media, the TekWar T.V. stuff is part of
an independently-produced synicdation-only series (not on any Network, not
even Paramount, and distributed as if it were re-runs of an old show).
The series will have a lot of short, un-related stories (such as the
TekWar stuff) which have at least one famous name tied to 'em (usually
acting or directing, often writing.)
The books were great -- oddly enough, its what got me into the
cybertech genre in the first place. (I read Gibson's stuff later.) No,
that's not totally true -- Max Headroom (the T.V. series) was what did it
for me. Shatner's books only cemented it a few years later.

Odd that Action Pack was on FOX, 'cause the Fox network isn't
carrying it. If its on any network, its Paramount (they're starting out
the same way Fox did, by offering low-priced brand-new well-advertized
programming to independent stations.) But not too suprising, since most
Fox "affiliates" are still mostly independent.
Good to hear another rave review...it plays Sunday (tonight) here
in the D.C. area.

Action Pack, which is a series of somewhat cheesy movies (seems that
TekWar is the highest budget one). The actors seem to be largely
no-namers (except for Shatner, I guess).

It is syndicated, whcih means that those affiliates that put up the cash
get. Here in Mankato it's the FOX station, but somewhere else it could
be some other station.

Finding it can prove to be difficult.

What's this about TekWar movies ? I assume that they're based on the William
Shatner books, but didn't know about any movies. I guess they never made it to
this side of the pond :(
Are they available on video ?
Anyone know whether there's any danger of them making their way across the water
anytime soon ? (I hope so)

Doubtful that you'll be seeing it...its part of a package deal of
two-hour made-for-TV movies here in the U.S., marketed via synidation to
independent stations. Its possible that you might be able to get it via
satellite, but since its an NTSC feed (the North American TV standard,
whereas Europe and the U.K. use PAL) its not likely.
Sorry to disappoint you....

Not to get too far from the list but..They might get it eventually..I
would say 6-8 months..When I lived there they were about 1-2 years behind
but toward the end of my tour the gap narrowed a bit..If the trend
continued after I left they should get it in a few months...Plus when I
first was there the Tv only had 4 chan but when I left [with a special
dish] there were 10 - 15 chan on the tube.
