The Deb Decker, old J, brought up the idea of reading a monitor by
the radiation given off by the CRT. (see Previous post).

This is opinion:
I think LCDs will take over CRTs in displays. Apparently FASA
agrees a little, isn't the vidscreen flat LCD? But anyway, LCDs have much,
much, (and another) much lower levels of electromagnetic rays. This would
seriously diminish the carrying ability as well as the strength of the rays
after they leave the display. Also some people, who have eye problems, use
mesh nets and glass plates that diminish the rays also. By lowering the
emmissions and perhaps using electromagnetic noise to wash out the rays,
the use of tempest tech would be less usable in SR.
