I just had an evil thought instead of using a bomb wouldn't it just be
easier to ground a hell blast or a flame bomb through a smuggled spell
lock then say using a sucide bomber with an area cortex bomb.

because anyone worth using an area cortex bomb on would have astral
security and/or mage security at least.

I can totally remember but I keep thinking there is some rule about foci
activity and such. Also the spell lock would have to be out in the open
or at least in a container with internal space and inorganic nature so
the astral bomber can "see" it to ground the spell through.

Hum so why not just try ritual magic with a sucicide bomber. Get some of
his blood and ground a flamebomb through it. If timed right this could
take out a ballistic flight for example a VIP is travelling with a bunch
of reporters, get a link to one of the reporters, callculate the exact
time of reentry and time the spell accordingly, just after reentery the
VIPs magical security is probably down. Ground a Flame Bomb through the
reporter (or something using the blast effect) and the plane goes down in
a flaming wreach. Oh and this works for most terrorist objectives to
(who needs car bombs when theres magic).

Note that this might not work if there's a ward or some other astral
barrier between the ritual team and the target: the spell has to fight the
barrier in order to get through, and may fail in that. Or if it does get
through, it may have been weakened so much it won't do the damage you want
it to.

But that's a question of doing your homework and striking at a time or a
place where there are no astral barriers...
