First of all, I would like to thank all of those who sent me info, ideas,
and examples of how to run a PBEM shadowrun game. I appreciate the time and
effort you put into responding. Unfortunately, I have decided that PBEM is a
bit too slow for my tastes. I want something that is faster, and more like
actual "gaming".
Therefore, I am going to run a Shadowrun I (with some house rules)
campaign over BITNET RELAY. This will involve people getting on to their
local relay systems at a certain time of the week, so we can all meet on one
of the channels. It will be very close to gaming in the same room as people
in real life, except I will resolve all dice rolls.
If you have access to bitnet, and want to play, here is what I need:
a) Your real name
b) Your bitnet address
c) A general listing of times you are available. My relay is up from 5pm to 9am
central times on weekdays, and 24hrs on weekends. ( Central Time )
d) A brief description of your character. NOTE: I DONT WANT A FULL CHARACTER
SHEET YET! Just tell me what type of character, their personality, etc.
ALSO: I only want NEW, UNEXPERIENCED characters. (Exception: all characters
have 3 karma points to start with. These may ONLY be used to bond magic items,
or for instant karma, NOT to raise skills, stats, etc.)
If you have bitnet access, but don't know how to use relay, let me know and I
will send you a relay help file.
I will reply to all applications, but I am limiting the group size to about
6 people, who have similar schedules.
