I was discussing the possibility of such a net-book with some friends and they
all thought, it could and should be done. Such a book could consist of two major
sections:
1.) Rule Clarifications
2.) Rule Expansions
Each section would have an appropriate number of subsections like
Combat, Magic, Matrix, Living
A sample subsection would have parts like
- some kind of Q&A (eg in Magic: grounding spells through quickened spells) with
references to the different (net-)sourcebooks
- one or more sample of action (eg a complete Matrix-Run for each of the
different rule-sets or a normal combat round for melee and ranged combat)
- annotations on the realism and the complexity (eg why there is no hit location
system)
Especially the Living section would be very interesting, bc as you might have
noticed that there are not very much hints/rules in SR. An example could be
drinking alcohol or seducing a member of the opposite sex.
If you have new rules, modifications, explanations or simply questions that
arose in one of your gaming sessions, please send them to me via Email (please
_NO_ attachements, bc CompuServe strips them off....:-( I will put them together
and make it available for first proof-reading. Then we can discuss on a final
version and make it public in the net.
So much for now... Mike
