Thank you list members for helping me.I made up a totem I think you guys
would like:
Bughunter:
Bug hunter was once, long ago a powerful mantis free spirit that took her
own outlook on the other bugs((including spider)This could start a war
between spider and mantis...).And as she tried to take on a hive of some
sort of new form of mutant cockroach, she was caught in a life and death
battle with the roach "mother" Which lasted seven days and seven
nights.During that time there was some major mojo flying around.in the
end though, the mantis free spirit ended up dying.but as it died it
uttered this famous phrase:"if you strike me down I will become more
powerful than you ever imagined." The roach mother just scoffed at her,
and administered the death-blow.but instead of dying she became one with
the great spirit that created life on earth, and then was given the
right to become a totem. The other totems welcomed her to thetotem
palanes of man. When she looked at herself in a mirror she saw that she
had become human again, sha had become the ultimate bug-hunter.

Character:noble, wise, patient and Rutheless when need be,she is one of
mans greatest last hopes for peace. She is bug-hunter.

advantages:+1d to spells that hurt bugs,+3d to manipulation spells
+3d to conjuring spirits of man, for this is for what she died to
protect.

Disadvantages:If a BH shaman ever helps a bug the shaman loses all magic
abiltiy until said bug has been killed.-2d for conjuring spirits of the
sky.

I would like feedback on this totem.

Would a mantis die for a human? Not unless it helped her brood in some way.

But can't mantis bugs fly?

Well, i would have added to the last list spider totom, but just because
it's the nature of spiders to hunt bugs. They don't really cut it in a fight
though. Maybe a tarantula totom is needed?

She died protecting the earth itself, therefore, protecting humanity. And
besides, she became a totem in the end.A totem that helps protect
humanity.

Elfman's totem is okay, but just barely...I find personally that the +3D for
Manipulation spells is a bit much. However, the "African Spider" found in
Cyberpirates is a bit more than "Spider" in the Bug City. The idea of a
"Tarantula" or "Wolf Spider" even would be just a quirky twist on the
existing
attributives of the totem itself.

You have to have the hefty bonuses. Just imagine throwing a firebomb
reputuosly,or god forbid trying throw a insecttside bomb more than once
without a magicpool of at least 9.The phrase that describes the magican
after that spell is :dead, dying,or asleep.=:-D(elfie grin(Equals sighn
is elf ears ))

No, what you are describing is something that wouldn't work really well in a
beginning adventure. Granted, "Bughunters" aren't beginning games either...
