Sounds stupid, but that sums up how I feel. I have had experience with
many RPG's and SR is by far the best.
I am particularly talking about SR's "realism". There are so many
examples that I find it hard to think of one. Take cyberware/biological
sciences. Cloning-done. Bladder, ear, finger joint grown from scratch on a
"scaffold"-done. Huge warehouses full of vat-grown organs awaiting
implantation-not yet done, but how far can it be? The whole deal with Oka a
few years ago (non-Canadians may not catch that one). The fact that the
corps are exponentially gaining power across the globe.
I was reading in Discover magazine about this device implanted into
people that allowed them to move a cursor on a computer screen by thinking
about it. Really, this has been done!
I guess that my point is how so many of SR's "predictions" seem to have
validity.
Now I don't believe that the world will "Awaken" (although I'll be
keeping my eyes to the sky in December, 2011 ;) ),but i think that if
there was magic it would probably be much like that predicted by SR.
