Wayell...those abilities would transfer over to the astral plane methinks
(I think something to this affect is mentioned in SR3 too). However, I
think this is something that could potentially be abused too easily.

Depending on the character concept, I'd simply say that the primary sense
that they have enhanced would be how they percieve key parts of the astral,
but with no bonus.

For example. A player of mine had a PC that is an adept that follows Dog.
Has enhanced smell. If he ever acquires astral perception, I'd tell him
that he smells auras. My own mage however would certainly see that same
information.

To allow bonuses however I think could cause potential problems however.

K and I have always allowed players in the game to assense with their
different senses. It brings some flavor to the game too. Nexx has some
experience in this department with the pbem I am currently running at whatever
pace the players want too.

Basically what it boils down to is that the information gotten from the
assensing is basically the same, the only thing which changes is the delivery
of the information instead. Instead of seeing it, you either feel it (touch),
taste it, smell it, or even hear it.
