I did have other ideas at one stage, but a good dose of cynicism has made me
decide that the olympics would probably ban all drugs and implants, and
nations will have teams instead of corps. However, this just means that the
richest countries can afford the best masking drugs, bribes etc to keep it
quiet even if the athletes are busted (I'm not pointing any fingers at the
US), and corps would back many of the best teams, manipulating the entire
event to further their own goals (I'm not pointing any fingers at McDonalds
and Coca-Cola), then sponsors would snap up the best athletes to endorse
their products for years after. The best thing about Olympic athletes is
that they are forgotten as soon as they stop competing so that if they keel
over dead six years after competing from side effects of too many
drugs/implants then nobody makes too much of a fuss (I'm not pointing any
fingers at FloJo).
