Waz up,

To all of you people who are not devotes of all things tolkienesque
nearly everything in the Lord of the Rings is now copywrited(sp)
Iron Crown Enterprises (aka ICE) has purchased exclusive rights
for use of Middle Earth as a ropleplaying game setting. If
I recall correctly, a number of people were very angry at
That Company Wich Is Not To Be Named (aka Tactical Studies Rules)
did not do so first. And as one who spoke before said..he uses
his copy as a door stop..The are the biggest bunch of rule trash
in the world... This makes games like Battle Lords (game of a thousand
combat modifiers) and the Master Book (aka "The Movie Book")
look streamlined. However, the hard cover second edition makes
a great coffee table book..

Re MERP/Rolemaster:

I'm in a Rolemaster game set in Middle-Earth right now, and I was
in a MERP game (oddly enough, NOT set in Middle-Earth), and I enjoy(ed)
both games. The rules for Rolemaster are no more complex that those for
shadowrun second ed(simpler if you can add two two-digit numbers in your
head).

Chavez:"I want to see his eyes when it happens."
Clark:"So use a good scope on the rifle."
