Speaking of books, (and Boy Scouts, for that matter), I have a copy of
Fields of Fire that has not lost any pages and is in reasonably good
condition. We always brought it on trips for the comprehensive list of
guns, err, equipment, and it has survived two canoe trips (in a Zip
Lock bag), at least 2 dozen camp outs and various spills and damage.
The cover is quite worn and there are a couple of creases, but it's
still truckin'. That book has attained a sort of "holy object" status
in our gaming group, being the ONLY FASA product that we have to stand
against the scourges of time. We have countless ED, SR, and BT books
that are falling apart at the seams... we are thinking of compiling
"Master Manuals" out of the separated pages.

I'm not even going to go into the Tab stop errors (What's a PPC 10?
And Panther cannons are HOW much?). Or the Chemestry spelling error at
the top of Man and Machine.
